About the Film Screenings

Join the MLK Remembrance Committee for this powerful film 6-episode series to inspire reflection and action leading up to MLK Remembrance events in January 2026. These films will immerse us in the Civil Rights movement, highlighting the moral courage Dr. King and others embodied- and challenging us to examine our own. This carefully curated movie series offers us a unique opportunity to immerse ourselves in the social climate of the civil rights movement and witness the extraordinary moral courage that Dr. King exemplified. These films will transport us back to pivotal moments in history, allowing us to better understand the challenges, sacrifices, and triumphs that shaped our nation’s journey toward equality.

However, this series is more than just a historical retrospective. It presents each of us with a profound challenge: to examine our own individual interior dispositions and ask ourselves the difficult questions that matter most. In a world that continues to grapple with issues of justice, equality, and moral leadership, we must look inward and honestly assess our own capacity for moral courage, compassion, and action.
